Leeds and Liverpool Pearson Canal Companion

This Leeds and Liverpool Companion describes all 127 miles of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal including the increasingly popular ëLiverpool Linkí which ushers canal travellers into the heart of the cityís regenerated dockland in the most exciting manner. Also included are: The Ribble Link for boaters heading to the Lancaster Canal; The Leigh Branch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal, which connects with the Cheshire Ring Canal Companion at Leigh itself.

On the other side of the Pennines the companion also describes the West Yorkshire waterways featuring the Aire and Calder Navigation (where commercial barging is now, sadly, virtually extinct), the Calder and Hebble Navigation, and the Selby Canal.

The Leeds and Liverpool Pearson Canal Companion uses large scale maps and diagrams that are accompanied by a wide-ranging documentary. It is of particular interest to boaters, walkers and cyclists providing descriptions of waterside towns and villages, listings on eating and drinking, shopping, visitor centres, public transport and boating facilities.

Published in 2017, this is the 1st Edition of this Leeds and Liverpool Pearson Canal Companion, and it replaced the Pennine Waters Canal Companion.
