This is a detailed walking guidebook for the iconic Coast to Coast path devised by Alfred Wainwright. Starting at St Bees on the east coast it crosses 3 National Parks before finishing on the west coast at Robin Hoodís Bay. First there are the lakes and rugged mountains of the Lake District; then the gentle dales and stone built villages of the Yorkshire Dales; followed by wild moorland, sea cliffs and fishing villages of the North York Moors.

The Coast to Coast path is shown on 109 maps that have been drawn by walkers for walkers at a scale of just under 1:20,000. These maps show route times, places to stay and eat along with points of interest. In addition there are 9 town plans and 14 stage maps to help plan your walk, including hills and descents.

This guidebook is ideal all walkers who want to enjoy the Coast to Coast path, whether walking the full route over 2 weeks or experiencing the highlights on day walks or shorter breaks. To help with those who choose to walk shorter sections there is comprehensive public transport information to access all parts of the Coast to Coast path.

Published in 2023 this is the 10th edition of this Coast to Coast walking guidebook and it has been fully revised. Also included are downloadable GPS waypoints for the entire route.
