The North York Moors Walking Guidebook

This Cicerone walking Guidebook describes 50 varied walks in England's beautiful North York Moors National Park, through sweeping moorlands, sheltered valleys, woodlands and coastal cliffs.

The walks range from 4 to 13 miles long, with the majority of them being circular. They cover the whole of the North York Moors National Park covering the Tabular Hills, Hambleton Hills, Cleveland Hills, Northern Moors, High Moors, Eastern Moors and Cleveland Coast. Also included is the classic Lyke Wake Walk that crosses the national park from east to west.

For each walk there is a step-by-step route description that is accompanied by OS mapping. Points of interest are highlighted, and background information provided, detailing the history and industry of the area. The guidebook also includes planning and preparation details such as when to go, where to stay, and how to get around using public transport.
