Azores car tours and walks Guidebook

This guidebook describes 60 long and short walks throughout the whole of the Azores archipelago, and 5 car tours (3 on Sao Miguel and one each on Terceira and Faial).

The Azores are all volcanic in origin with a lush green landscape. This ranges from mountains (like Pico, at 2,351m high), peaceful valleys, and stunning lakes of great beauty amidst extinct volcanic craters, to charming hill country with fields and meadows, spectacular hydrangea hedges criss-crossing the landscape, and magnificent coasts lined by picturesque villages and historical towns.

For each walk there is a detailed route description that is illustrated on map at a scale of 1:50,000. There are 2 separate fold-out maps showing the car tours, plus there are detailed town maps for Ponta Delgada (Sao Miguel), Horta (Faial) and Angra do Heroísmo (Terceira).
