About Us Guidepost is a small family-run business selling maps and outdoor books. We sell a wide range of maps, walking books and digital mapping and are continually expanding the range to cover other countries and outdoor activities. Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart - you will be able to remove these items later if you change your mind. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

Secure on-line payments can be made by credit or debit card using HSBC or PayPal.

Telephone or postal payments can be made by credit card (but not debit card).

Postal payment can also be made by cheque - made payable to Guidepost please.

Shipping And Handling UK: Delivery is free to UK addresses.

Europe: £2.00 for one item, £1.50 per item for additional items (maximum charge £30). We use Air Mail, and goods should reach you within 3 days of despatch.

Americas: £3.00 for one item, £2.50 per item for additional items (maximum charge £40). We use Air Mail, and goods should reach you within 5 days of despatch.

Other destinations: £3.50 for one item, £3.00 per item for additional items (maximum charge £40). We use Air Mail, and goods should reach you within 5 days of despatch.

Delivery Schedule We despatch most orders in 3-4 days, but please allow 14 days for delivery. If your order is likely to be delayed, we will e-mail you and let you know - you will always be given the option to cancel.

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 72 hours, and provide you with a likely timescale for resolving the problem. You will be informed of the progress of your complaint, and all complaints will be confidential.

Tax Charges All books and maps are zero-rated for VAT in the UK. VAT at 17.5% is included in the price of CD-ROMs, videos and calendars.
Credit Card Security On-line credit and debit card payments are processed by HSBC or PayPal. All communication between HSBC / PayPal and the customer is encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the customer's browser using TLS or SSL(security). Card issuers protect cardholders from fraudulent use of their cards in a 'card not present' environment such as over the internet or telephone. As the customer did not sign for the goods, they have an absolute right to demand a chargeback if those goods did not arrive or the card was used fraudulently.
Cancellations / Returns Any order may be cancelled within 10 working days of the receipt of the goods. You must let us know within 10 working days of receipt that you are returning items, and goods must be returned in their original condition. You will receive a full refund within 30 days. We can only refund postage charges if the return is as a result of our mistake. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Privacy Policy We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice.

All credit/debit card details are collected directly by HSBC / PayPal, and we do not receive or have access to these details.The information we collect is the information you give at the time of ordering. We use this information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

We do not disclose any customer information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item.
