Anquet 1:50,000 OS Mapping on CD-ROM - version 6



Anquet Maps version 6 contains a host of exciting new features. With a completely new interface, powerful new database management tools, enhanced GPS capability and compatibility with any Microsoft enabled Smartphone, it enables you to make even better use of digital maps on your computer. Use the seamless continuous mapping to create, print and share routes, and much more.
The half country products cover the whole of Great Britain, and the ten regional products each cover the equivalent of approximately 20 Landranger sheets.
FEATURES
Anquet Virtual GPS™ - replicates the functions of a standard GPS unit on your laptop, Pocket PC or Smartphone. When used in conjunction with a basic, screen-less GPS receiver, such as a Bluetooth GPS, the Anquet user has access to full GPS capability.
Virtual Landscape - seamless continuous 3D mapping with no tile edges or gaps allowing you to fly over the Virtual Landscape at fixed or variable height.
Pocket PC - enhanced functionality - create and file routes and waypoints directly on to Pocket PC and exchange routes with GPS.
Anquet Data Explorer Outdoor Leisure - a powerful set of data management tools.
Redesigned Interface - Routes can now be captured by 'click and drag' or stream capture, or a combination of both.
Routes can be given different colours
Text can be added to maps
The number of available icons has significantly increased.
Split Screen Mode - significantly enhanced - it is now possible to view any pair of maps of different types, at different viewing scales.
Create routes with directions, waypoints and information.
Save and share your routes via e-mail or on the web
Path Profile
View statistics such as height ascended, distance travelled and estimated time
Gazetteer contains over 250,000 items that can be searched to locate entries on the maps
Complete GB overview map and GB Road Atlas 1:250,000 scale
View and use your choice of units: OS grid, National Grid or lat/long
Also available - Photo Map CD-ROMs for England and Wales.
PC CD-ROM runs on Windows 2000/XP
Minimum System requirements - Windows 2000/XP, 256Mb memory.
Virtual Landscape - DirectX 9 compatible video card
Anquet Maps for the Pocket PC (PPC) will run on any PPC that runs a version of Microsoft’s Pocket PC operating system.
Anquet Maps for the Smartphone will run on any Smartphone running the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system.
